Re: Unable to join network “NMEA2WIFI”

Hello Dagnall,

Yes, we exchanged emails. When the unit was due to return to me, the user just told me that the unit was 15cm near to the VHF radio and placing it a bit apart, everything was fine.

Re: Can we turn the Wifi Off?

Hello, Sorry did not see this topic before. If you do not need wifi just do not set any wifi function. The multiplexer after 5 minutes of being powered up or after 5 minutes of a settings change, will turn wifi off and will keep serial functions. If you need to get wifi again, just make a reset or i...

Problems with firmware 4.1

Hello, Firmware 4.1 was the 1st software to support the new 2021 models (both the TH and SMD versions). If you have one of these units I suggest that you update the firmware to the latest version (4.4 at the time I write this). There are 2 problems that could arise and I give here some tips to overc...

Re: Raymarine ST60 to Garmin Plotter 7040XSV

Hello,

You need to set P1>P5 and P2>P5 so that the simulation data also goes to P5. In order to test the hardware, I just made another video shown here.

Hope you solve your setup,

Regards, Luis

Another post about testing the hardware

Hello, In a past topic there is a video showing how you can test the wired inputs and output of the multiplexer. Here is a similar post. In order to carry out the test you need to make a factory reset first. Then when the multiplexer starts, if it detects that it has factory settings, it checks if i...

Re: How to Erase and Flash an ESP32 module

Hello Zamino, A replacement unit was sent today. Still it would be useful for us to know why you could not have a message from Windows telling that new hardware was found or that a driver should be installed. Dagnall has posted useful information about the driver for the CH340. You have a mini (not ...

Re: How to Erase and Flash an ESP32 module

Hello, I do not understand if you have a SMD or a TH Nmea4Wifi multiplexer. Could you send me a photo? Here is something you will find on the nmea2wifi forum. It applies also to the Nmea4Wifi multiplexer. The first time you insert the USB cable in your computer (with the module on the other extreme ...

Re: How to Erase and Flash an ESP32 module

Hello, Thanks for your reply. I can send you a replacement unit tomorrow. But it would be more secure if I could send it to the marina here in Portugal. They would receive it on Tuesday and I could phone them just to make sure that someone receives it and keeps it until your arrival. The reason for ...

How to Erase and Flash an ESP32 module

Hello, In this tutorial post, I describe how you can erase and flash an ESP32 module with a NMEA4WIFI BIN file without using the Arduino IDE. In some circumstances you may need to do this. I tried this method using Windows 10. I am not sure if you can use another OS. You need to download a tool from...
