Re: inconsistencies in the data transmitted,

Pascal
Sorry for delay, I was not geting notified of posts.

This may have been corrected in more recent updates, but if it is still a problem, can you please update me and I will explore and see if we have a conversion issue.

Re: N2K0183 paired with nmea3wifi for AP remonte control

HI. IF you have a NMEA3, then it CAN convert $STALK messages to SeaTalk. Your data capture shows that you are receiving the remote commands on an NMEA3, and sending the “$STALK” to the N2K0183 via the EXT link. But the N2K0183 cannot convert the $STALK NMEA0183 messages to N2000. If you have the act...

Re: Please, PNG 128275 to NMEA 0183

Jean Phillipe, First, sorry, I had missed this message. I assume log and trip log from 128275, but which NMEA message do you need? (I am embarassed that I cannot easily find an equivalent NMEA 0183 LOG message - but perhaps I have not looked hard enough!) (There is ST25 in the SeaTalk messages - but...

Re: parametrage nmeawifi3- helix 5

Bonjour, Can I add/clarify somethings. There appears some confusion as to whether you are using UDP or TCP? OpenCpn can send routes to GPS using either TCP or UDP. But OpenCPN MUST have the connection set as IN/OUT. Once set, and provided that the PC is connected to the NMEA3 multiplexer, then you c...

Change Default SSID IP from 192.168.4.1

edited by Luis Sa - this method should work with all multiplexers Some users have found issues where the NMEA multiplexer default IP of 192.168.4.1 clashes with that used by another wifi device. One solution is to change the NMEA Multiplexer from 192.168.4.1 to (eg 192.168.5.1) : This is done by wr...

Re: N2K0183 as a Tool to Analyse the N2K bus

Just a quick addition: I have just downloaded and tried the 64bit V1.201.028, "TOOLKIT" and you are correct: it does not seem to see the N2000 data. I do note that the manual for the toolkit states" For viewing live NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0183 data we recommend our free NMEA Reader software, although thi...

Re: Programmation du n2k0183

Bonjour, and please excuse me responding in English!. Response speed and "Et Aussi le Reseau Externe". This setting is only if you wish to connect to an "external network". If you select this, the multiplexer tries continuously to connect to (in your case) "NETWORK_NAME". and this will take a lot of...

Re: Connecting to router in STN mode breaks NMEA out on p5

Paul. Sorry. I thought I had replied yesterday, but something got "stuck or lost"! VDO and VDM can be filtered.. Just use a filter e.g. "0-A-VDO" to accept (only) VDO messages. or "1-A-VDO-VDM" to accept VDO and VDM and to enforce checksum checking. (or "0-R-VDM" if you wish to reject VDM, and every...

Re: Connecting to router in STN mode breaks NMEA out on p5

I am wondering therefore if you would be willing to amend the code to provide an option to enable the generation of HDT sentences to output P5 (without me having to enable Seatalk to P5 routing which would create a data loop). This could be calculated from the values in the HDG sentences (magnetic ...

Re: Connecting to router in STN mode breaks NMEA out on p5

Paul, Thanks, Just to add my apology for not responding faster! The Pico scope is a very nice product and the serial decode may be a feature Luis had missed! I have serial decode on my 4 ch lab scope but my USB scom DS1M12 is now well over 20 years old and never has Serial decode! That new one looks...
