Re: No WiFi
Still no success making it work. Did try to install on another boat but same thing happens. Tried to flash the NMEA2WIFIV63.bin with OTA as well as the ESP8266Flasher_64.exe but the AP disappears when trying to connect. If only the OTA_BLINK.bin is installed it is OK to connect and access the 192.16...
Re: No WiFi
Did a reinstall in the boat and same thing happens. When everything is connected (12V, Seatalk and NMEA inputs) the AP pops up for a while and then disappears. Could there be anything I should check for at the board or the environment that could cause the Esp flash to erase? For your information I h...
Re: No WiFi
Simulation mode works fine and your greek data are well received over UDP
Re: No WiFi
That makes sense and the memory mapping perfectly explains what I have been experiencing. I don't know what caused the error as the unit worked fine when I received it. Maybe the flash was damaged during installation in the boat? Anyway I have fine contact with the AP now after flashing 6.3. However...
Re: No WiFi
Hi Luis This is exactly the procedure I have executed on my W10 PC - however I do not have the 'No SPIFFS' option when selecting the same board as in your screen dump. I just repeated on my W7 laptop with the same result: no possibility of connecting to the AP after the firmware has been uploaded. S...
Re: No WiFi
Did some tests with the Esp at home without the multiplexer board. The Esp works fine for all uploads done via the Arduino IDE over USB and the examples (blink, WiFiAccesPoint etc) works as described. The OTA_BLINK script also works well and creates a stable AP I can login to and access the 192.168....
Re: No WiFi
What should I expect when pressing the SW1? I can't find any explanation in your documentation.
As for using the Esp only there is still no AP visible.

No WiFi
After connecting the NMEA2WIFI to my ST1 network the WiFi disappeared. It worked fine when testing at home, but after installing in the yacht it is not possible to see the SSID from my laptop. I can see the green LED flashing - probably a reaction to the ST1 input. I removed the Wimos board and conn...

Re: Serial input
Thanks for the update. A few suggestions if I may: The schematic on the product page https://www.vela-navega.com/index.php/nmea2wifi should be updated if it doesn't provide the newest version. In the "new" schematic resistors R3-R6 are changed to 330 ohm and the parts I received for my NMEA2WIFI is ...

Re: Serial input
RS232 compatibility is fine but this requires a -3/15V to +3/15V logic. I am looking for a serial input which recognizes a 0-5V logic (or better 0-3,3V). Is this possible to achieve or should I add a voltage converter like the MAX3232?
