Features of the EXPERIMENTAL page

The new EXPERIMENTAL webpage provides users with some new features that we hope will be useful. One rare issue we see is that the user's Phone and the Multiplexer may lose connection whilst settings are being modified. Because the master/MAIN webpage uses animations the user may not be aware of this...

ARE MY INPUTS WORKING???

The NMEA3WIFI uses optical couplers for the Port 1 and 2 inputs. And for many users connecting a NMEA signal to these ports is simple. However there are sometimes occasions when finding out what has gone wrong can be difficult. The built in LEDS on the NMEA3WIFI are excellent to tell you when a conn...

Re: NMEA3WIFI ext netw and internet access

Also a bit anoying as you need to connect first to MPX network to see what external IP MPX acquired from access point. Then you reconnect to external network and call this IP from the browser, to access MPX interface. Let me add to this thread.. Connecting to the Multiplexer ("again") just to find ...

Re: Nmea3Wifi and ST70i

Fabian
Many thanks for the encouragement and bug reports. I will PM you later with some more details, (mainly about #4) but for anyone else following this thread… We will explore these issues and try to resolve them soon.
Dagnall.

Re: Nmea3Wifi and ST70i

Hi dagnall, I'm not sure if this was intended, but the version you've attached is showing up as "Experimental CODE (CAUTION) Ver 2.02 Jun 2 2023 20:32:37" (so from last Friday) - is that really the latest version? Thanks for checking! I THINK.. ( I have been known to be wrong! ;) ) this is n...

Re: Nmea3Wifi and ST70i

NO!.. That was not my intention!.. MANY thanks!! I was tidying and must have sent the wrong one.. Before I complete my tests: I have added a GGA>datagrams 54,57,58 conversion. I think this probably removes the need to convert RMC or GLL > (optionally) 50/51 or 58. I will keep the "use datagram58" op...

Re: Nmea3Wifi and ST70i

Fabian, MANY THANKS for testing the code again! It is much appreciated! I cannot understand why the 16 bit conversion seems different in this Datagram.. but you have confirmed that this IS correct! (also - I have confirmed that our earlier ST58>NMEA conversion uses the same data configuration.. ) My...

Re: Nmea3Wifi and ST70i

'off' (sorry - you have never added your name!! ) I have sent you a PM with some extra questions.. Can you test this please to see if the minutes displayed on your ST70 are correct.. Luis FYI: I am concerned that the NMEA>ST conversion for datagram 58 sends the 16 bit minutes in a method that is no...

Re: Nmea3Wifi and ST70i

HI. Adding some code to generate ST57 from GGA turned out to be relatively simple. SO I have attached it here... PLEASE note that I have not been able to test this with a real GPS.. So I would very much appreciate if you can look at your GPS quality data (GGA) and check that the ST70 is displaying "...

Re: Nmea3Wifi and ST70i

Hi, That is good news, and I will have a look at decoding GGA or GSA properly to get the SeaTalk Datagram 57 "properly". Now bad news.. the 'Bible' of Seatalk datagrams does not tell me how the DOP data is transmitted. Jus that the Second variable (DD) is dop. I had assumed DOP was integer meters, b...
