Re: How to Flash a Blank ESP32 module

One final (REALLY!) thing. I managed to capture a serial trace whilst the iPhone was tying to connect with Automatic IP address mode. The ESP32 seems to be doing a SW CPU reset synchronously with the iPhone disconnecting. (I also get the same message as soon as the PC tries to connect to this board'...

Re: How to Flash a Blank ESP32 module

Luis. Enjoy your crossing!. I have a new board on order, so thanks, but I expect mine should arrive sooner!. I spent the morning doing some more experiments and it seems that the ON/OFF wifi connect/disconnect is repeatable. I made a couple of screen capture videos and posted them as "unlisted video...

Re: How to Flash a Blank ESP32 module

Update- hopefully before you read this.. I did an update with V 1.0.0 and thought that it had cured the regular on off of the wifi, but checking again this morning, with my I pad, it did not. IPad (auto IP ) locks into WIFI, then promptly disconnects. Iphone, (with manual IP settings) can lock into ...

Re: How to Flash a Blank ESP32 module

Luis. Thanks or fast reply- And sorry I sent two long forum post so quickly.. I will call the board from the NMEA4WIFI that you supplied (board 1), and my "spare" lolin32 board (board 2). Sequence of events / experiments in the previous two posts was: On boat , checking what apps respond to the Seat...

Re: Imray Instruments

Luis, Some results from testing this morning on the boat: I have found that: The "depth" being displayed is the same value (converted to feet) as my Seatalk instruments show in meters, but is being shown as "depth below transducer" on most apps. I-regatta will display the seatalk "depth" if it is se...

Re: How to Flash a Blank ESP32 module

Luis. I have just had a frustrating day. I was trying to test a lot of my Apps to see which can read the Seatalk DBT message, but somehow during this the NMEA4WIFI stopped. --I will put the results I did get in the other "depth" thread. My problem came when the WIFI signal disappeared.: The red ligh...

Re: Imray Instruments

Glad your sailing has been good.
Imray have responded and apparently they have a new App developer. They say it may take a few days to get back to me, but at least this time I got a response!
I will keep you informed if anything interesting happens.

Re: Imray Instruments

Luis, just a quick update. I got no response from Tubaco, but have today sent another report to Imray. It's possible that they may update to accept the short message format , but we will see. I see that you will be spending time in Sept trying to sort out the strange Android cycling issue, but can I...

Imray Instruments

I have discovered that Imray Instruments (Ver 2.50, SC Library version 3.0, INS Libray 1.2 ) does not accept the "simplified" DBT messages sent by Nmea4Wifi. My message "$SDDBT,18.7,f,,,,*33" was rejected, and the Imray Instruments depth gauge sticks at "0". However.. with the "Simulated data " "$II...

Re: Comparable to Brookhouse iMux ST

I have just ordered the 4 ch multiplexer because of this forum entry. Many thanks! I had been looking for a replacement for an old brookhouse Imux, and the nmea4wifi seems an excellent replacement, removing the main limitation of my old brookhouse unit (that it could only attach to one wifi device a...
