Re: Nmea2Wifi with iSailor and Navionics on iPad
Hello Jesper, Unfortunately I have not Ipad to test, but I suggest you use the TCP protocol for the WiFi to Wired connection. Chose a common port number for the multiplexer (the server) and the app running on the Ipad (the client). On the client side enter the IP address of the server (192.168.4.1)....

Re: Nmea4Wifi - 4 inputs Multiplexer
Hello If you visit the Nmea2Wifi forum and read the Seatalk topic you will find the programme that translates Seatalk1 datagrams to Nmea 0183 sentences. If you have the Arduino IDE and an esp32 module you can run and simulate all type of conversions. Nmea4Wifi uses that programme. Unfortunately the ...

Re: Simulation of nmea
Hello Erik, Unfortunately the answer to both questions is no. With the Nmea4Wifi you could do both. I could change the software so that you could set a TCP connection to receive data and set an UDP port to transmit it. However that would take me some time to test... There USB to TTL serial adapters ...

Re: GPS connection
Hello Peter,
USB allows the communication between one host and up to 127 devices. 2 devices cannot communicate between them. The multiplexer USB port is a device. So you need a GPS receiver that outputs Nmea183 data and connect it to one of the 4 inputs.
Regards, Luis

Re: NMEA4Wifi NMEA Input
Hello Julian, I am sorry not to comment on your post earlier. I hope that you were able to sort out your wiring. Here my late comments: 1. The safe way is to use A5 and GND on the Nmea4Wifi output. It should work without problems. To use A5 and B5 you would need to be sure that the Foruno input is o...

Re: In the improbable case you need to test the hardware
Hello, Regarding to the connection to existing network it looks like it get connected otherwise it would keep trying for about 5 minutes and at each attempt it would make 5 short blinks. At that stage you should disconnect your smartphone from the Nmea2Wifi network and connect to the existing networ...

Re: In the improbable case you need to test the hardware
Hello, For some reason I think that the multiplexer is trying to connect to your existing network and it is not able to achieve that. Did you try a hard reset? Press and hold the sw1 switch. The leds go on for about 2 seconds and then go off. Release the switch. The multiplexer will be in default st...

Re: NMEA4Wifi NMEA Input
Hello Julian, Are you pretending to send data from the multiplexer to your Furuno GPS unit? Or the reverse? Note that with Nmea0183 you can have only this: one talker sending data to one (or more if the talker has sufficient drive capability) listener Normally a GPS sends data, that is to say, it ac...

Re: How to update Nmea2wifi firmware
Hello Carlo,
As I have referred to in a previous answer - "Check if the USB cable supports data and power". That is probably the cause of your problem.
