Wifi on/off with approx 3sec intervals on Android
Wifi on/off with approx 3sec intervals on Android
When I connect a laptop to NMEA4Wifi via WiFi it works perfect, but when I connect my Android phone (Xiaomi) the phone disconnect and then reconnect approx every 3sec. I assume this is a telephone/Android issue, but since this is not an issue on other WiFi-networks I assume there is a difference. Any proposal what a shall look for?

I saw the post "NMEA4WIFI - recovery from lockout" with similar problem as mine. I have also the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro. When I change to Static IP I get a stable WiFi.

Hello,
Thank you for the feedback. Yes it looks that DHCP is not working with some Android phones. It works fine on my wife Samsung Note 10 but not on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. With static IP it works fine. I need to investigate this when I return from the sailing season.
