Nmea Datas

Post by ga2019 » Sat May 25, 2019 3:56 pm

Hello,
First of all, thank you for your great work.

İn my case, there are differences between seatalk and nmea 0183 sentences which i receive from wifi.
Some nmea data is missing in seatalk data.
We have used your latest setup to get nmea sentences.
And also standard ST60+ displays can show battery levels. But there is no data for that in seatalk or nmea0183 sentenceses.
Sentences which I have received at the bottom.
If you can lead me to right direction to solve my problems that would be great.

Thank you very much
GA

Hello,

Thank you for your post. Does the PCB inside the box in the second picture refers to Nmea2Wifi? What are the dissensions?

I could not completely understand the meaning of your lists. In relation to the SeaTalk1 to Nmea0183 conversion, I used the document shown here:

http://www.thomasknauf.de/rap/seatalk2.htm

I can look to the points that you refer but unfortunately, I have no time until the end of September. I would be grateful if you could confirm the correct reception of converted values u,sing firmware 5.7, namely DBT.

Best Regards, Luis

Hello,

Yes second picture is our nmea2wifi module. I will return about dissensions.

We are getting different nmea sentences form different ports (setalk or nmea0183).
And also we couldn't get battery level and rudder angle.

So I'm trying to understand, Why there are different data sentences from different ports?

Thank you, GA

PS: How could i confirm the correct reception of converted values?

Hello,

I need more information about your setup in order to comment. Please read the document that I gave you the link in order to know what can be and what cannot be translated.

May be rudder angle could be implemented with a software modification. For battery voltage I think an hardware modification is needed.

Regards Luis
