NMEA2WiFi unit .. USB driver for Win7 ?

Post by solentlife » Sat Jun 04, 2022 1:47 pm

I cannot connect my NMEA2WiFi unit via USB to my Acer1 as the driver cannot be found.

WiFi from the unit connects fine when wanted - but I need the USB cable for Seaclear which does not accept WiFi input.

Anyone please - link or where to find USB driver ti install on Win 7 ...

Hello,

Please google CH340 USB driver. Also make sure you are using a USB data cable.

Many thanks ...

Cable is definitely Data capable ... not just a charger cable.

Cheers

OK ... driver installed .... comes up COM11 ... so all fine.

But I cannot get any NMEA data showing.

The Onwa KP39A I am using for data - has only 3 wires to cover GPS out ... Green (+ GPS NMEA) Blue (-) and Yellow (+NMEA / AIS) with same blue as GND.

I connected Green to A1 ... Blue to B1 ... Yellow to A2. I have a common power & GND for the Onwa and the NMEA2WiFi unit ..

Maybe I should forget the Green .. and just have Yellow and Blue via the A2 / B2 connections ? I am trying to get GPS and AIS fed to Seaclear on PC ...

Sadly Seaclear does not accept WiFi input.
