Thanks All,

Tacktick runs on 4800 and all set to that.

I regatta doesnt seem to give the option of what to output which is odd?
Im speaking to the manufacture so hopefully they can clear it all up,

Regarding my ports etc,
plan is to have

P1- Plotter incomming
P2- Tacktick incomming ( Speed depth wind temp)
P3 - Serial connection to Experdition laptop

P5- Output to instruments and plotter via Tacktick T122 hub.

Olly.
Interesting, - I assumed you had a NMEA2 from this post being in the NMEA2 area? But you mention ports 1-3 and 5?
Do you actually have a NMEA4 ? 4 (P1-4) inputs, one (p5) output? That does open up more possibilities!

It would help greatly if you have a simple ‘wiring diagram’. So often it is possible that a diagram helps where words miss sometimes crucial detail. If you can also note what data (which nmea messages) you are expecting to flow in each connection, and where that data is expected to ‘go’ it can also help.
Forgive me if that sounds very basic! But with only 4800 baud, data congestion may be an issue.

I presume that your “Tactick system” include the multi-display unit, or is it just the Wind, Speed, Temp, Depth instruments?
Tacktick do say that they can accept the RMB message, so I would have expected to see “something”.

Cheers

Sorry for the confusion,
I have the NMEA2Wifi and have just bought the 4 to give more inputs and filtering.

We have the current arrangement which works well

Garmin GPS 557 linked to T122 Tacktick ( simple in and out connections 2 wire NMEA+) 4800

AIS linked to the plotter BAUD 38400 direct ( emtrack 100)

NMEA2/4 Wifi linked to the Tacktick,

what i think i need to do is put all signals to the multiplexer then onward

the issue comes is that we have the plotter downstairs and want to run Iregatta upstairs but it only send out a $ECRMB sentance ( enough info for the tacktics to do their thing)

Ref the displays we have 3x dual line Maxi, 3x single displays and the remote so plenty of data!

ill draw something up today

So IRegatta have updated the app and we have the below sentence

UDP: $ECRMB,A,0.0,L,X,Test,5010.8000,N,110.1167,W,41.984,178.2,0.0,V,V*20

Which still cannot be read by the instruments ( or any other NMEA tracker)

however when Expedition is putting out the below

$IIRMB,A,,,,57 ,,,,,999.90,310,,V,A*25

Which can be read!

Raymarine have come back with the below!

Hi Oliver,
I am not sure I can help much further with the NMEA format, it looks to me like there is an issue with the Arrival circle, you have not arrived at the Arrival circle, whereas the lower sentence suggests you have entered the arrival circle . . are you too close to the target waypoint?

Im very suck now!

Olly,
Sorry for delay -- the forum seems to have forgotten to "ping" me and I did not see your last update!

I'm not sure that we can assist any more.
We do not actually "do" anything to NMEA data when it is received, apart from checking checksum if required.

If the data shows up in the webpage you get when you "ENTER DEBUG MODE", then it is being passed through the multiplexer!.

Sorry!
Dagnall
