Hi, I am trying to connect from OpenCPN (& iSailor & Navionics on Ipad) via my NMEA2Wifi multiplexer to a Simrad TP22 autopilot, but am having no luck so far. It should be fairly simple: I have the TCP output set correctly in OpenCPN and get the output messages when I tick "Show NMEA debug window". I have firmware v7 on the multiplexer, and can read the incoming messages via wifi, in the debug mode. I have the Simrad autopilot connected to P3, (A3 and ground). On the 192.168.4.1 webpage I have selected TCP to P3. P3 is set at 4800 baud rate for the Simrad TP. Am I missing something? The Simrad TP22 does not pick up anything when I try to activate nav mode on it, and having activated a waypoint in OpenCPN.
Would appreciate any possible info, thanks
Gerrit
Connecting from chartplotting software to Simrad tiller pilot
Re: Connecting from chartplotting software to Simrad tiller pilot
Hello Gerrit,
I suppose that you have to tell the TP22, that it has to act on stimuli from the chart plotter.
I once solved a similar situation with a ST1000 by a very, very short press on both +10 and -10. Not a duuuuut, but a dt🥴
Best, Erik
