Here is a report at about 1/3 of our crossing from Antibes to Mahon and with 23 more hours to go. We were with the engine ON all the time at 2.000 revs per minute, in order to keep the "Speed On the Ground" higher than 6,5 Knots. Fortunately the winds were fine as well as the drift so that we could reach speeds of 8,5 Knots. The situation changed later when the wind came from South and the drift was against us. In the second part of the crossing the "Speed On the Ground" was almost constant at 6,5 Knots but the "Speed On the Water" was about 8 Knots.

The auto pilot took us all the time during our crossing from Antibes to Mahon. When I was on deck during the night my main concern was to look for other ships. Only on 2 or 3 occasions I had to change the heading in order to avoid crossing near big ships. During the day I could rest on the deck or take films like this one.
