This form appears when you press
CHANGE TCP port in the parent Reception
of Nmea 0183 Sentences form. You should enter the TCP port
number that the multiplexer uses and its IP Address.
TCP is a connection protocol. This means that a connection between
the client and the server must be established before any message
is transmitted. Also, after the message is sent, the sender waits
for a confirmation that the message was received without errors.
That is the reason why TCP communication is not as fast as UDP
communication. In the server-client model, the multiplexer is the
server and the PC is the client. It is the client that establishes
the connection with the server and in order to do that it needs to
know the IP Address of the server and, of course, both should use
the same port number.
